Job summary

CBRE Data Center Operations is seeking a Data Center Technical Team Lead to oversee preventative maintenance and complex repairs within a large data center environment. You will lead a technical team, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safety and reliability of building systems.

The role requires an apprenticeship or equivalent, a journeyman/electrician or HVAC license, and experience guiding staff, coordinating with contractors, and communicating with tenants and clients.

Qualifications

• Technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent; journeyman/electrician or HVAC license preferred.
• Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, and performance management.
• Ability to communicate sensitive information and set performance expectations.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must meet physical requirements.
• Understanding of procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze solutions using technical judgment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities and schedules.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs and update manuals.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians.
• Oversee building systems including fire safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, facilities team, and vendors.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values.
• Apply cross-disciplinary knowledge to achieve department goals.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
