Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technical Team Lead to manage a technical team within a large Data Center operation. You will oversee daily activities, coordinate maintenance with contractors, and ensure safety across fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

You will guide staff, mentor teammates, and drive improvements to preventive maintenance programs while communicating with tenants and vendors.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent training in a technical discipline.
• Journeyman Electrician or HVAC license preferred, local licensures where required.
• Experience in staffing, coaching, mentoring, and performance management preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and set performance expectations.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with building systems and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily team activities and schedules.
• Cross-train staff and mentor team members.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs and manuals.
• Coordinate with contractors, tenant finish, and technicians.
• Oversee fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, and vendors.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Lead by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
