Job summary

CBRE Data Center Technical Team Lead in Iowa oversees preventative maintenance and complex repairs within a large data center operation. You will coordinate daily team activities and interface with contractors, tenants, and vendors to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role requires technical discipline training and licenses, plus strong communication and organizational skills. CBRE values collaboration, integrity, and service excellence in a dynamic facility setting.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent in a technical discipline; journeyman Electrician or HVAC license preferred.
• Experience staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ability to guide communication of expectations and handle problems.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities with schedules and mentoring.
• Advance preventive maintenance programs and update safety manuals.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians.
• Oversee building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team, and vendors.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
• Apply disciplinary knowledge to meet team and departmental objectives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
