Job summary

Lambda in Kansas City operates as a leading AI cloud infrastructure provider, seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to maintain and deploy critical data center infrastructure. The role requires presence in the Kansas City, MO Data Center five days a week and travel for bring-up of new locations as needed.

You will rack, label, cable, and configure servers, storage, and networks; troubleshoot hardware and software issues; document layouts; and collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Familiar with critical infrastructure systems for data centers (power, cooling, environment, capacity planning).
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Ability to follow instructions and be detail oriented.
• Proactive, action-oriented, eager to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new server, storage and network infrastructure is properly racked, labeled, cabled, and configured.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems.
• Document data center layout and network topology in DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain & manufacturing for deployment of systems and project plans for large-scale deployments.
• Manage a parts depot inventory and track equipment through delivery to handoff in each data center.
• Work with HW Support to resolve data center infrastructure-related tickets.
• Coordinate with RMA to ensure faulty parts are returned and replacements ordered.
• Follow installation standards and documentation for placement, labeling, and cabling.
