Job summary

Lambda, a leader in AI cloud infrastructure, is hiring a Data Center Operations Systems Engineer II to coordinate and deploy data center infrastructure across sites from Elk Grove Village, IL. This role requires presence in the Elk Grove Village data center 5 days a week, with 7/24 coverage.

You will rack, label, cabling, and configure servers, storage, and networks, troubleshoot complex issues, document topology in DCIM, and collaborate with supply chain for large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience with critical infrastructure in data centers (power, cooling, DCIM)
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Willingness to travel for deploying new data centers

Responsibilities

• Rack, label, cable, and configure new server, storage, and network gear
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on advanced systems
• Document data center layout and network topology in DCIM
• Coordinate with supply chain for deployments of large-scale systems
• Manage a parts depot inventory and track equipment through stages
• Work with HW Support and RMA teams to resolve issues
