Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer for a Data Center in the New York area. The role delivers day-to-day operation and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, ensuring a clean, safe environment and continuous uptime across assigned property(s).

Responsibilities include rounds, preventive maintenance, repairs, energy management, and adherence to safety protocols; field-related licensing and a valid driver’s license are often required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAV and air distribution systems.
