Job summary

Dell Technologies in Round Rock, TX seeks an Analyst, IT Data Center Operations to join our IT team on site. You will rack, stack, install, and decommission servers, storage, and network gear, and ensure equipment meets data center standards.

Candidates should have at least 5 years in data centers, knowledge of server/storage/network hardware, OS familiarity, and strong troubleshooting. This role requires 2nd shift (3pm–12am) and experience with DCIM tools and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of server, storage, and networking hardware.
• Familiarity with operating systems, basic networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience working in data center or mission-critical environments preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in data centers
• Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift (3pm-12am)
• Desirable: knowledge of DCIM tools, ticketing systems, monitoring platforms
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+, vendor hardware)

Responsibilities

• Rack, stack, install, configure, decommission, and replace servers, storage systems, and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Perform hardware diagnostics and component-level replacements (drives, memory, power supplies, NICs).
• Ensure equipment is installed according to data center standards and best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system, application, and network connectivity issues.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory records and system documentation.
