Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level 2 Network Technician to join our data center team. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting data center infrastructure, performing troubleshooting, hardware installations, and ensuring clean and organized facilities.

The position requires hands-on experience with servers, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, and related equipment. You will work with NOC and engineering teams on installations and incident responses, with opportunities to grow into

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience leading a small team on a project.
• Familiarity with data center environments (MMR, cages, shared areas).
• Knowledge of server hardware components and fault diagnosis.
• Understanding of network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and install IT devices with guidance from NOC/engineering.
• Manage physical servers, storage, and server appliances.
• Handle hyper-converged infrastructure (e.g., Nutanix, Cisco UCS).
• Maintain cable management and labeling in data center spaces (MPOE/IDF/MDF).
• Support equipment and rooms: MPOE, IDF, MDF; assist in migrations and incidents.
