Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. in Atlanta seeks a Level 2 Network Technician to maintain and support data center infrastructure, including troubleshooting, hardware installations, and keeping the data center clean and organized.

You will work with the NOC and engineering teams on IT devices, including servers, storage, switches, firewalls, and related cabling, with emphasis on reliability and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience leading a team executing a project.
• Experienced with data center environments, including MMR, Cages, and Shared Areas.
• Knowledgeable in server hardware components: power cycling, running diagnostics, whole unit replacement, and fault diagnosis.
• Understanding of network equipment functionalities (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers): power cycling, running diagnostics, whole unit replacement, and fault diagnosis.
• Experienced in structured cabling, including standards, specifications, installation techniques, labeling, and organization.
• Basic electrician skills: power testing, connector types, AC and DC equipment.
• Knowhow to upgrade servers and switches operational systems
• Basic fiber troubleshoots with power meter and looping
• Basic understanding of technology WAN/LAN, Wireless, and Cloud
• Experience working in or around MPOE, IDF, and MDF rooms
