Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated Level 2 Network Technician to support data center infrastructure, including troubleshooting, hardware installs, and maintaining order and cleanliness within the facility.

Responsibilities include installing and troubleshooting with guidance from NOC/engineering, handling servers, storage, network devices, and cabling, ensuring smooth operations and on-site coordination for projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience leading a project team.
• Experience in data center environments (MMR, Cages, Shared Areas).
• Server hardware diagnostics and fault diagnosis knowledge.
• Network equipment troubleshooting including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers.
• Structured cabling with labeling and organization.
• Basic electrical testing and knowledge of AC/DC equipment.
• Ability to upgrade server and switch operating systems.
• Fiber testing with power meter.
• WAN/LAN/Wireless/Cloud concepts familiarity.
• Experience in MPOE/IDF/MDF rooms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and execute installations with guidance from the NOC or engineering team on IT devices.
• Provide hands-on support for physical Servers, Storage & Backup Devices, Server Appliances, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure.
• Manage Power Distribution Units, SAN Fabric Switches, and network devices.
• Handle device connections (peripherals, power, network ports).
• Maintain data center cleanliness and organization.
