Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. seeks a Level 2 Network Technician to maintain the data center infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware, and support IT device installations. You will coordinate with the NOC and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.

The role involves hands-on work with servers, storage, switches, WAN devices, and cabling, with occasional travel to remote sites. Leadership in small teams and strong incident management are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience leading a team on a project.
• Experience with data center environments including MMR, cages, and shared areas.
• Knowledge of server hardware components, diagnostics, and fault diagnosis.
• Understanding of network equipment functionalities (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and execute IT device installations with guidance from NOC/engineering.
• Handle hardware like physical servers, storage devices, server appliances and PDU power distribution units.
• Support and maintain cables, racks, and labeling for organized data center spaces.
• Collaborate with teams on incident handling and on-site reporting to Project Manager.
