Job summary

Iron Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level 2 Network Technician to maintain and support data center infrastructure, including troubleshooting, hardware installations, and ensuring cleanliness and organization.

The role requires hands-on experience with servers, storage, hyper-converged systems, networking gear, and cable management, plus willingness to work in NOC/engineering environments and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience leading a team executing a project.
• Experienced with data center environments, including MMR, Cages, and Shared Areas.
• Knowledgeable in server hardware components: power cycling, running diagnostics, whole unit replacement, and fault diagnosis.
• Understanding of network equipment functionalities (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers): power cycling, running diagnostics, whole unit replacement, and fault diagnosis.
• Experienced in structured cabling, including standards, specifications, installation techniques, labeling, and organization.
• Basic electrician skills: power testing, connector types, AC and DC equipment.
• Knowhow to upgrade servers and switches operational systems
• Basic fiber troubleshoots with power meter and looping
• Basic understanding of technology WAN/LAN, Wireless, and Cloud
• Experience working in or around MPOE, IDF, and MDF rooms
