Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support large-scale data center environments in the United States. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of server and network hardware to ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong technical background in server and network hardware including routing and switching.
• Experience with enterprise/service provider network hardware platforms (Juniper, Cisco, Arista).
• Proficiency in Linux OS, CLI navigation, and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and deinstall enterprise servers and network devices.
• Troubleshoot cabling, powering up/down, and handoff to internal teams.
• Replace FRUs, optics, and network line cards as needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware, network link and configuration issues on-site.
• Test and trace fiber/copper cables and patch panels.
• Document work and follow SOPs; participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain asset inventory and perform physical audits.
