Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Network Operations Lead to oversee hardware repair and troubleshooting across fiber deployment in large-scale environments. You will diagnose, repair, and lead technicians using CLI tools to ensure SLA-driven service.

This role involves rotational shifts to support 24/7/365 operations and may require up to 10% travel domestically, with opportunities to mentor staff and drive safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years IT support, hardware diagnostics, and repair in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years of people management or team leadership experience.
• Strong proficiency with CLI-based tools (Cisco CLI, Linux shell, iDRAC, iLO).
• Experience troubleshooting fiber, server, storage, and network hardware.
• Familiarity with network tools (ping, traceroute, SNMP).
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work under high availability.
• Strong communication and leadership with a customer-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between data centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across server, storage, and network hardware platforms.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using CLI tools (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Linux shell).
• Oversee physical hardware repair including component replacements.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues including fiber optics.
• Provide guidance for fiber splicing activities and testing.
• Review OTDR traces, loss budgets, and certification results.
• Mentor and supervise field technicians and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure SLA adherence and coordinate with Site Supervisor.
