Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join our infrastructure operations team in Virginia. The role focuses on scaling support for multiple data center locations, engineering automation, and ensuring stable, scalable networks with close collaboration with network engineers and project managers.

The position requires hands-on hardware rollout, ticket-driven work prioritization, and 24/7 on-call availability. Regional travel may be required as part of project execution.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking and Linux troubleshooting.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering & Technical Project Manager teams to ensure smooth rollout of designs and products.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and inter-connectivity issues, including device configuration and low-level application interaction.
• Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
