Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join AWS Infrastructure Services.

The role focuses on supporting large-scale, enterprise networks, assisting in rollout, configuration, and troubleshooting across data centers, while improving automation and scalability of the network. You will collaborate with Network Engineering and Project Managers, manage rack space and power logistics, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Work closely with Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast rollout of designs and products.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including device configuration and low level application interaction.
• Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
