Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Hermiston, OR seeks a Network Deploy Technician to support large-scale enterprise networks, improve stability, and help scale our infrastructure. You will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic setting with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include data center network deployment, capacity management support, and coordination with internal customers and external vendors. Travel within and outside the regional area is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
