Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Hermiston, Oregon is hiring for Network Install Technicians to support our data centers. You will move and install large enterprise equipment, run fiber and copper cabling, and ensure safety and proper procedures during installation.

The role requires travel with a personal vehicle and the ability to work in 24/7 environments. We value hands‑on technical work, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and ownership of projects from installation to completion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, data center operation, or related technical role.
• Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
• Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).

Responsibilities

• Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment.
• Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment.
• Ensuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation.
• Following well established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities.
• Safely using material handling tools and equipment.
• Traveling within and outside of the regional work area is required with a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.
