Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to support the stability and scalability of AWS networks from a hands-on, on-site role in Oregon.

You will work with minimal supervision to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise-grade network infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist in capacity planning, and help develop automated, scalable solutions for network deployment and operations, while adhering to AWS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+ are a plus.
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools and protocols is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter-connectivity issues, including device configurations.
• Travel up to 20% within the geographical area; some roles may require international travel.
• Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity, including patch panels and cords.
• Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking is completed for new equipment.
• Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
