Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Supervisor - Network in Sweetwater, TX to lead the installation of structured cabling, fiber optics, and network hardware within data center environments. You will supervise field teams and subcontractors, coordinate across electrical, mechanical, and IT disciplines, and ensure safety and design standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or IT.
• Minimum 5 years in network infrastructure installation or low-voltage construction; at least 2 years in supervision.
• Experience in data center or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and networking hardware.
• Familiarity with TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA, and construction safety practices.
• Ability to read construction drawings and technical specs.
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills.
• Certifications such as BICSI, RCDD, or OSHA 30 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and technicians installing network infrastructure.
• Review drawings, specs, and work packages to ensure design compliance.
• Monitor progress and provide status updates to Construction Manager.
• Conduct inspections for safety and standards compliance.
• Oversee material deliveries, equipment staging, and inventory.
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide guidance to subcontractors.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and IT teams for integration.
• Maintain documentation of work, inspections, and change orders.
• Support commissioning and testing before handover.
