Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Supervisor – Electrical in Sweetwater, Texas to lead field crews on data center electrical construction projects. You will oversee medium-voltage systems, switchgear, and MCCs, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with NEC and project requirements.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordination across trades, and strong documentation. A Journeyman Electrician License and 5+ years of electrical construction experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, with proven experience on medium voltage systems, switchgears, and MCCs.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical plans, and blueprints.
• Exceptional supervisory and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with managers, peers, customers, and subcontractors.
• Proficient in applying local electrical codes and the NEC.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of electricians and apprentices to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Delegate and perform work based on blueprints, charts, tables, work orders, and verbal instructions; organize tasks from start to finish.
• Maintain safe working environment by following OSHA requirements and company safety protocols.
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues by installing or replacing wiring, devices, and components.
• Communicate progress, needs and concerns clearly with team members and subcontractors.
• Coordinate across trades to ensure project milestones are met.
