Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Manager – Network to oversee installation and integration of network infrastructure during data center construction, including structured cabling, fiber optics, and networking hardware. This onsite role ensures compliance with project specs and safety standards while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

The position requires 7+ years in network infrastructure with supervisory experience, data center exposure, and knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree advantageous; equivalent military or trade schooling considered.
• 7+ years in network infra or low-voltage construction; 4+ years supervisory.
• Experience in data center environments strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, and networking hardware.
• Familiarity with TIA/EIA, BICSI, NFPA and construction safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Excellent communication and leadership; manage subcontractor performance and coordinate multiple trades.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to schedules and timelines.
• Certifications such as BICSI, RCDD, or OSHA 30 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of subcontractors and technicians installing network infrastructure.
• Maintain execution schedule throughout the project and communicate expectations clearly.
• Establish and maintain tracking of field events showing progress and completion.
• Review construction drawings and specifications for compliance with design and client needs.
• Monitor progress against schedules and report to project leadership.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for standards compliance.
• Oversee material deliveries, equipment staging, and inventory tracking.
• Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and IT teams for system integration.
• Maintain documentation of work, inspections, and change orders.
• Support commissioning and testing prior to handover.
