Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks an experienced MEP Specialist to coordinate MEP trades on a Burlington, TX data center project. You will lead the team, manage coordination across disciplines, and ensure commissioning readiness through active collaboration with the project team.

You will drive 3-D coordination, QA on submittals, and interface with the CxA, steering through from groundbreaking to turnover to the owner. Strong knowledge of LEED commissioning credits is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in Construction/MEP Coordination (Step I)
• 6–9 years combined in Project Engineer/Superintendent roles coordinating MEP systems

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing CPM schedules for MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading.
• Assist in startup plans for MEP systems and commissioning with the project team.
• Review subcontractor installation quality, identify deficiencies and coordinate resolution with the team.
• Coordinate materials procurement and related activities with the Project Manager and field staff; prepare reports.
• Facilitate 3-D coordination to resolve conflicts before installation starts.
• Interface with CxA and manage commissioning documentation (pre-functional/start-up checklists and test documents).
• Lead MEP subcontractors through the project lifecycle from groundbreaking to turnover.
• Provide warranty support and resolution plans for open items.
• Represent Sundt Construction at weekly owner/contractor meetings; review MEP submittals for design/contract compliance.
• Coordinate project logistics with the Superintendent and approve MEP materials/equipment before installation.
