Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager for data center initiatives in Temple, TX. You will lead MEP coordination, manage subcontractors, and ensure design, procurement, and commissioning align with project goals.

You will work with BIM/VDC teams, coordinate with A/E and field teams, and drive on-schedule, on-budget delivery while upholding Suffolk's standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/Fire Protection.
• 5+ years of experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong computer skills: MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of BIM/VDC coordination and hit detection programs.
• Knowledge of local/state/international building codes (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, LEED).
• Extensive knowledge of testing, balancing, and commissioning practices.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical bid tabs and Exhibit B.
• Interview and select sub-contractors for projects.
• Manage day-to-day MEP sub-contractor activities.
• Review and approve MEP monthly requisitions.
• Review and approve MEP change orders.
• Conduct site walks and update schedules.
• Coordinate with BIM/VDC and Superintendents for schedule alignment.
• Develop solutions with A/E on coordination items.
• Review all MEP submittals and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate with owner and third-party MEP contractors and testing agencies.
• Obtain close-out documentation and O&Ms.
