Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking an MEP Specialist to lead coordination of MEP trades on major construction projects. You will work with the project team to ensure successful completion of all MEP work.

You will manage scheduling, startup planning, field coordination, and commissioning activities, interfacing with the CxA and subcontractors through turnover to the owner. A strong background in LEED commissioning and Primavera P6 is required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in Construction/MEP Coordination for Step I; 6–9 years for Step II.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
• Experience with MEP subcontracts and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and low‑voltage codes as they relate to construction.
• MEP Step I: ~3 years as a Project Engineer; Step II: 6–9 years as Project Engineer & Superintendent.
• In‑depth knowledge of LEED, especially fundamental and enhanced commissioning credits.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing CPM schedules for all MEP installation activities, including cost and resource loading.
• Develop plans for startup of MEP systems and commissioning with the project team.
• Conduct site visits to review quality of subcontractor installation and resolve issues.
• Coordinate activities, materials procurement and reports with Project Manager and field staff.
• Facilitate 3D coordination to resolve conflicts prior to installations.
• Interface with the CxA and manage commissioning documentation.
• Lead MEP subcontractors from groundbreaking through commissioning and turnover to owner.
• Provide warranty support and resolution plans for open items.
• Represent Sundt Construction at weekly Owner and contractor meetings.
• Review MEP submittals for design criteria and contract compliance.
• Collaborate with Superintendent on logistics and material/equipment approval for MEP systems.
