Job summary

Sundt, Maxwell, TX, is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to direct and coordinate commissioning activities across subcontractors, management, and customers. You will plan and develop commissioning programs from concept through life-cycle, ensuring contractual commitments and efficient startup processes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• FE designation through the NCEES or PE license preferred.
• 5 years of commissioning field experience, including performance contracting preferred.
• Proficiency in SCA, PECI and/or ASHRAE commissioning procedures preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Capable of resolving escalated issues with other departments.
• Conduct commissioning coordination meetings with owner, project management, contractor, and team.
• Ensure all construction projects conform to policies and objectives.
• Experience with commissioning & start-up engineering and related systems.
• Identify ways to reduce operating costs and extend equipment life.
• Improve and augment Sundt's commissioning procedures and documentation.
• Manage pre-start, start-up, test-adjust-balance, and field commissioning work.
• Monitor industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Contribute to strategic decisions affecting commissioning support.
• Verify operation of systems and establish acceptance criteria with vendors.
