Job summary

Milestone-Technologie seeks a Data Center Lead to spend more than half the time with Data Center Technicians IC1 and IC2, supporting installs, troubleshooting, and server maintenance. The rest of the time is dedicated to daily onsite staff management.

The role requires overseeing operations, approving timecards, coaching staff, conducting performance reviews, handling disciplinary matters, and contributing to regional best practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware
• High level of written and oral fluency in English
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Multi-tasking
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Work environments may reach temperatures of 90+ °F

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily management of staff, including IC1, IC2 technicians
• Approve timecards
• Coach and mentor staff to achieve high quality results and high performance
• Conduct regular one on one employee status meetings to provide performance feedback and annual reviews
• Apply disciplinary processes for staff performance issues and explain metrics results
• Provide input for improving operational performance and efficiency
• Screen and schedule burst labor resources for short-term projects
• Screen for technical capabilities and cultural fit then recommend hires
• Assist in onboarding and training of all new hires
• Manage local morale budget to keep team morale high
• Share best practices with Data Center Leads in other locations
• Other duties as assigned by management
