Job summary

Layline Automation, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Site Lead to manage day-to-day onsite operations in a high-density, mission-critical data center.

This hands-on role provides direction to Data Center Technicians and serves as the primary onsite escalation point for infrastructure issues, including DLC and CDUs. The position is full-time for a 4-month project starting on 10/15, with responsibilities spanning incident response, equipment deployment, monitoring, and coordination

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center operations or a mission-critical environment.
• Experience leading technicians and coordinating onsite work.
• Hands-on knowledge of servers, GPUs, networking, cabling, and power distribution.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, networking, power, and cooling.
• Experience with ticketing, DCIM, asset/change management, and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Capable of 24x7 data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily onsite data center operations and provide technical direction.
• Coordinate technician priorities, ticket queues, maintenance, and shift handoffs.
• Oversee installation, rack-and-stack, cabling, deployment, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
• Support direct-to-chip liquid cooling (DLC) environments and CDUs.
• Troubleshoot liquid-cooling alarms, leaks, and CDU issues.
• Monitor power, cooling, temperature, humidity, and hardware health.
• Lead incident response, root-cause investigation, escalation, and resolution.
• Coordinate onsite activities across engineering, facilities, vendors, logistics, and remote teams.
• Maintain documentation, asset records, change-control procedures, SOPs, and reporting.
• Ensure safety procedures and standards around electrical, mechanical, and liquid-cooled infra.
