Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Lead Engineer for Data Center Facilities in Amarillo, TX. The role oversees data center operations, leads technical teams, and implements strategies to optimize reliability and efficiency across power, cooling and network infrastructure.

The position requires 5+ years in data center operations, leadership skills, and familiarity with industry standards. It is an on-site role with a comprehensive benefits package and 24x7 support responsibilities as

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations and management.
• Strong knowledge of power, cooling and network architecture.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, TIA, and Uptime Institute standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in management and coordination of data center facility operations and maintenance.
• Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Monitor and analyze critical systems performance (power, cooling, network).
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate to ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrade projects.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Prepare technical reports for management and clients.
• Be first contact for events involving electrical distribution system.
• Troubleshoot and mitigate incidents with the team.
• Create root cause analyses (RCAs).
• Provide after-hours support for electrical systems (24x7).
