Job summary

JLL is seeking a Building Engineer for Data Centers in Amarillo. The role focuses on delivering best-practice maintenance for electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, cooling systems, and life-safety systems. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize operations to ensure 100% uptime.

You will manage work orders, use CMMS, and coordinate with vendors and customers. Hands-on mechanical/electrical work, safety compliance, and flexible scheduling are essential for

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a data center/critical facility.
• Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear.
• Ability to traverse large campus settings, climb stairs, and work at heights.
• Must be able to work varied schedules and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on building systems to ensure uptime.
• Analyze system operation, diagnose faults, and take corrective action.
• Manage work orders, CMMS, vendor coordination, and customer-facing tickets.
• Follow emergency escalation procedures and safety policies.
