Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Data Center Building Engineer for an on-site role in Amarillo, TX. The candidate will oversee critical facility infrastructure, including UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and fire/life safety, ensuring 100% uptime and safe operations.

Key duties include preventive maintenance, work-order management via CMMS, vendor coordination, and handling incidents with escalation procedures. Strong communication and MS Office/CMMS skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience working in a data center/critical facility.
• Experience with building systems including UPS, emergency generators and switchgears.
• Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure to ensure 100% uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and operate site systems; monitor fire/life safety, HVAC, chillers and electrical equipment.
• Manage work orders using CMMS; participate in vendor management and customer-facing tickets.
• Respond to site emergencies and assist with escalation procedures.
