Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own physical compute, storage, and power infrastructure across Bellevue/Everett data centers. You’ll configure VMware environments, manage backups, and ensure environmental continuity while coordinating with facilities and networking teams.

The role demands 6+ years in enterprise infrastructure, strong VMware skills, hardware experience (HPE preferred), and hands-on data center operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 6+ years in a data center or enterprise infrastructure role.
• Proficiency with VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter administration.
• Experience managing physical server hardware (HPE preferred).
• Knowledge of SAN/NAS storage concepts (iSCSI, NFS, FC).
• Experience with backup solutions and recovery testing.
• Familiarity with APC/Schneider UPS products and PDUs.
• ITIL change management and multi-site environments.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Ansible/PowerShell/Bash).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a medium-sized private data center across multiple sites.
• RACK management, cabling, power, and capacity planning.
• Manage UPS systems and PDUs across data center and MDF/IDF sites.
• Deploy and configure VMware vSphere/ESXi with vCenter administration.
• Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow).
• Coordinate with facilities on space, power, and cooling requirements.
• Work with networking on rack/cabling changes and joint projects.
• Procure, rack, cabling, update firmware for server hardware lifecycle.
• Monitor storage health, plan expansions, and manage datastores/volumes.
• Administer SAN/NAS storage and cloud archives; manage backups and recoveries.
• Troubleshoot hardware: CPUs, memory, storage controllers, NICs.
• Participate in change management windows and post-implementation reviews.
