Job summary

Northwest Administrators, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to serve as the technical authority for core infrastructure, including VMware, SAN/NAS, data protection, Windows Server, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Exchange hybrid topologies, and hybrid cloud management.

You will architect, deploy and maintain highly available VMware environments, manage enterprise backup (VEEAM), DR testing, and secure hybrid identity and devices, collaborating with security teams to deliver reliable IT

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years' experience in enterprise systems administration and engineering, including senior or lead level responsibility.
• Expertise in vSphere 7.x/8.x architecture and virtualization/datacenter infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise backup, replication and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of M365 & Exchange hybrid topologies, Entra ID and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy and maintain high-availability VMware environments (vCenter).
• Manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage and capacity planning.
• Own backup and replication infrastructure (VEEAM) and DR testing.
• Administer Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Exchange hybrid topologies.
• Secure and scale hybrid enterprise infrastructure across on-premise and Azure.
• Support identity, endpoint management and AI service deployments.
