Job summary

Denali Advanced Integration seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the enterprise infrastructure lifecycle, including VMware virtualization, Cisco UCS compute, Dell EMC storage, and Cohesity backups across primary and secondary sites.

You will assess current environments, identify gaps, and lead modernization initiatives while guiding peers and coordinating with vendors. Strong on-call readiness and SOC-aligned security practice are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience managing VMware virtualization environments including vSphere and vCenter.
• 3–5 years of experience administering and maintaining a backup platform, preferably Cohesity.
• Experience as a technical lead or SME guiding cross-functional decisions.
• Experience managing infrastructure incidents and Service Requests via ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.
• Experience with Cisco UCS compute infrastructure and LogicMonitor alerting.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN, VLANs, and routing/switching in multi-site environments.
• Disaster recovery planning, DR testing, and business continuity procedures.
• Strong communication skills for technical/non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a 24/7 on-call environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and document current state of infrastructure systems (VMware, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC, Cohesity).
• Identify gaps and opportunities; provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Lead infrastructure projects from scoping through execution (hardware deployments, upgrades, migrations).
• Serve as technical lead for infrastructure decisions across teams.
• Manage and monitor VMware, Cisco UCS, and Dell EMC across primary and secondary sites.
• Administer and optimize Cohesity backup infrastructure for reliability and capacity.
• Monitor ServiceNow, respond to incidents and service requests per SLA and SOC standards.
• Ensure alerts are resolved per policy and security requirements.
• Patch VMware/UCS/Dell EMC per security policy.
• Manage vendor relationships with Dell, VMware, Cohesity, Cisco, etc.
• Plan and execute Disaster Recovery testing per business continuity requirements.
• Establish infrastructure standards, runbooks, diagrams, and docs.
• Collaborate with security/compliance for SOC audits.
• Participate in on-call rotation 24/7 for outages.
• Drive capacity planning and lifecycle management.
