Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Instrument and Controls Designer to develop P&ID diagrams and panel layouts for advanced facilities. The role involves BIM modeling, 3D design, and coordinating with global teams on time-critical projects.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering and hands-on experience with instrumentation, P&IDs, and BIM software (BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD). A hybrid work arrangement is available across U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• Experience in instrumentation and controls.
• Familiarity with P&IDs.
• 2+ years of BIM design experience.
• Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects designing state-of-the-art data center, semiconductor, and other manufacturing facilities.
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of industrial facility control systems.
• Work within global multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
