Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a HVAC Truck Based Service Manager for data centers to lead regional truck-based service operations, ensure reliable delivery, and meet safety and quality standards across a defined territory. You will direct installation, inspections, and service work by technicians and team leads, optimize dispatch and labor utilization, coach staff, and partner with branch leadership to deliver strong customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years HVAC service, field operations, or related technical leadership.
• Experience supervising technicians or team leads.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC service operations (installation, inspections, troubleshooting, customer support).
• Experience with scheduling, dispatch, capacity planning, or service coordination.
• Ability to manage service performance, customer expectations, and team priorities.
• Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with standard service management tools and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and operational management for a truck-based HVAC service team serving data center customers.
• Plan and coordinate scheduling, dispatch, and field execution to meet service commitments and SLAs.
• Direct installation, inspection, and service work by Technicians and Team Leads, ensuring quality and timely completion.
• Manage labor utilization, staffing, and resource allocation across the territory.
• Monitor service performance, profitability, and operational metrics.
• Coach and develop team members to strengthen technical capability and customer communication.
