Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead North America sales for the Appleton portfolio. You will drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships with customers and channel partners, and influence early in the sales cycle while traveling 50-70%.

You will collaborate with regional sales teams, develop account strategies, forecast pipeline, and represent Emerson at industry events, conferences, and meetings, delivering exceptional customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years business development or sales with a successful track record.
• Experience driving B2B sales growth and managing complex opportunities.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop sales strategies from customer needs and market trends.
• Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
• Willingness to travel 50-70%.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth within the data center market.
• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with owners, operators, engineers, contractors, and channel partners.
• Build and maintain strategic customer relationships.
• Conduct direct sales calls to drive business objectives.
• Maintain active pipeline, provide accurate forecasting and updates.
• Collaborate with regional sales teams on account and market growth strategies.
• Influence project specifications and position Emerson solutions early in the sales cycle.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
• Partner with marketing on events, webinars, and demand-generation activities.
• Represent Emerson at customer meetings, industry conferences, and trade events.
