Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking a Data Center Development Manager to support growth opportunities in the data center space. You will coordinate commercial development activities, manage customer engagements, negotiate with prospects, and provide executive-level briefings to advance opportunities.

Based in Rapid City, SD, with options in Cheyenne, WY or Denver, CO, this role requires up to 25% travel and a strong background in energy markets, finance, and strategic planning to shape the company's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Public Policy or related field required.
• 5+ years in energy sector related to business development, finance, account management, project management, strategic planning, or commercial growth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial development activities for data center opportunities, including customer engagement and executive-level decision support.
• Assist in development and negotiation of data center customer agreements and related commercial arrangements.
• Lead cross-functional coordination among regulatory, engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams to advance opportunities.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on commercial development activity, risks, and milestones.
