Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems is seeking a finance-focused professional to own the economic thinking behind capacity gaps in data center capacity, power, and compute. You will quantify opportunities, monetize commitments, and advise on monetization strategies across engineering, product, and leadership.

You will translate probabilistic models into financial terms (expected value, tail risk) and collaborate with capacity planning, product, and legal to balance risk and reward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial planning, corporate finance, or capital allocation.
• Comfort with probabilistic thinking and distributions.
• Experience with interruptible, spot, or committed-use pricing models.
• Knowledge of data center design and utilization metrics.
• Familiarity with GPU cloud economics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and size opportunities where built or committed data center capacity, power, compute, or otherwise, isn’t converting to revenue.
• Own the financial thinking behind capacity gaps and monetization decisions across the business.
• Partner with Capacity Planning, Product Management, and deal desk or legal to understand constraints behind opportunities.
• Translate probabilistic or technical models into financial terms: expected value, risk, and recommended action.
• Make risk calls on exploiting gaps and defend the decision to stakeholders.
• Build durable financial frameworks for opportunities once they’re proven out, while supporting live decisions.
