Job summary

Pogue Construction is seeking a motivated Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on mission-critical and data center construction projects. You will assist with subcontractor coordination, safety, schedules, and quality to meet owner expectations.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in construction, strong communication, and readiness to grow into a Superintendent role, with opportunities in an ESOP environment and a family-oriented ethos.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as project assignments require.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractor work to ensure schedule, specifications, and quality are met.
• Conduct routine jobsite walks to verify progress and identify issues.
• Assist with project logistics planning, site access control, material deliveries, and laydown areas.
• Maintain organized project documentation, including daily reports and progress tracking.
