Job summary

Pogue Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support mission-critical and data center construction in Texas. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety, and help maintain schedules to meet owner expectations.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow into a Superintendent role on complex projects, with emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as project assignments require.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractor work to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct routine jobsite walks to verify progress and identify issues.
• Maintain project documentation including daily reports and logs.
• Support safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
