Job summary

Pogue Construction in Texas seeks a Data Center Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on mission-critical projects. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, monitor safety, and help keep schedules on track.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in construction, strong reading of drawings, proficient with MS Office, and a desire to grow into a Superintendent role. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction field experience on commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day field activities.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractor work to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Conduct site walks to verify progress and identify issues.
• Support logistics planning, site access, deliveries, and laydown areas.
• Maintain project documentation: reports, logs, and progress tracking.
• Promote and uphold safety culture; participate in safety meetings and audits.
• Assist with QA/QC processes and testing procedures.
• Help coordinate MEP systems and turnover activities.
• Monitor progress against milestones and aid in pull-planning meetings.
• Foster professional relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
