Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Field Operations Lead to oversee infrastructure engineering, including installation, service, and maintenance of low voltage cabling and fiber optic systems in data centers.

You will lead a team, develop and enforce procedures, manage tickets, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate cross-functional activities to deliver reliable, scalable data-center infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in technology services/technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years leading teams and managing low voltage cabling projects.
• 2+ years people management or supervisory experience.
• Experience installing, terminating, and testing low voltage cables with fiber optics emphasis.
• Strong knowledge of BICSI, ANSI, EIA/TIA, NEC standards.
• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., BICSI TECH).
• Excellent leadership and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, service and maintenance of low voltage cabling and communications cabling.
• Lead and mentor a team in pulling cables and racking stacking in data centers.
• Ensure quality of fiber and copper connections and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Develop and enforce MOP and CMOP guidelines.
• Manage work tickets and infrastructure interfaces for project execution.
• Oversee port maps documentation and advanced troubleshooting.
• Direct power distribution and cable management to optimize performance and safety.
• Coordinate with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards.
• Enforce safety regulations and provide leadership for operations information.
• Maintain equipment inventories and respond to emergencies to meet SLAs.
• Lead testing using DSX 5000 and OTDR equipment and document results.
