Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical facilities and ensure high uptime.

You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, monitor BMS/EPMS, and support rack installations and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced environment. Daily rounds, on-call rotations, and on-site collaboration with contractors are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office products.
• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility- and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Create technical documentation to support change management.
