Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical infrastructure and ensure 99.999% uptime across AWS data centers.

You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems, troubleshoot incidents, and support ongoing projects with a cross-functional team. A technical background and readiness for shift work are essential.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training or an associate degree is preferred.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance is required.
• Ability to read procedures and engineering drawings, and to document work.
• Military experience can be relevant and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs and perform PM and repairs.
• Perform rack installs/decommissioning and support change management documentation.
• Coordinate on-site with contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance and safety.
• Work flexible hours; some sites require 12-hour shifts and on-call rotations.
