Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring 99.999% uptime across AWS data centers.

You will work hands-on with electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and cooling equipment, while coordinating with contractors and vendors. The role includes on-site rounds, monitoring BMS/EPMS, troubleshooting, rack work, and adherence to safety and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical work experience in data center facilities.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Create technical writeups to support change management.
