Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical facilities and ensure 99.999% uptime across data centers. You will monitor electrical and mechanical equipment, assist in fault diagnosis, perform PMs, and support on-site operations with vendors.

The role requires flexibility for long shifts, travel between sites, and ability to work in a hands-on environment with safety in mind. Relocation stipend may be offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years electrical facilities maintenance or 1+ years mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLAs.
• Carry out PM, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Produce technical documentation to support change management.
• Monitor daily work requests and manage to resolution; execute projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support to contractors, sub-contractors and vendors per established practices and local regulations.
• Be prepared for shifts up to 12 hours and possible on-call rotations; role may support multiple sites.
