Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical facilities across multi-site locations.

You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, and troubleshoot rack-level events, supporting PMs and change management while coordinating with contractors to maintain uptime. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in electrical or mechanical roles, with willingness to travel between data centers and work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to travel to multiple data centers as needed.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Able to work at heights and in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLA.
• Install and decommission racks within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support change management with technical documentation.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors to ensure on-site work follows procedures and local regulations.
• Shifts can be up to 12 hours and may rotate; some locations have on-call rotations.
• Role may support more than one location/site.
