Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Jeffersonville, OH is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical facilities, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, CRAH units and cooling systems.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-site support, working with a diverse team to keep the cloud running. This role requires travel between data centers, long shifts up to 12 hours, and flexibility for training periods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in data center engineering or electrical/mechanical field
• Ability to physically perform tasks including climbing, lifting, and working at heights
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to travel between data centers and work non-standard hours

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life-safety equipment
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning
• Conduct PM and root-cause analysis of equipment
• Support change management with technical writing
• Coordinate on-site with contractors and vendors
• May rotate across locations and shifts up to 12 hours
