Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, batteries, CHILLERS, cooling towers, and air handlers.

Role requires travel to multiple OR facilities and may involve extended shifts and on-call rotations. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in relevant work, a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field), and experience with

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in data center environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of network design and low-voltage cabling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Management System.
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
